Power generator
Electrical generators provide power using a standalone machine when regular power from the grid is not available. Often these types of industrial generators are used to provide backup power to business, industry, specialised facilities or even homes during power outages.
They can sometimes be used as a primary power source in locations where there is no access to a local electrical grid, such as in remote areas, areas under construction or mining and farming.
Our team are skilled at ensuring the correct equipment is chosen, installed in the most efficient manner and maintained properly in order to get the best value for your investment.
Switchboard and Power distribution
Electrical Switchboards are devices that distribute electricity from one source to another. During a power distribution process this is one of the major components used, which is comprised of several electrical panels that contain switches which redirect electricity. An electrical switch can consist of one single panel or several electrical panels which have other power control equipment mounted on them.
The core function of an electrical board is to control the flow of power, allowing the distribution of power into smaller regions for powering various devices. Switchboards can supply power to transformers, panels and other equipment, allowing further distribution of power.
Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS)
A electrical system that provides power to a service, machine or another system when the mains power fails is referred to as a Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS). These systems are usually used to help protect equipment in facilities such as data centres, telecommunications equipment or other situations where power failure could cause serious data loss, expensive business disruption or even causalities.
A UPS is usually made up of the following components:
- A backup battery – this is where power is stored for use when mains power is not available
- An Inverter – This converts the backup battery power for use as mains power
- Battery Charger – Keeps the battery charged while mains power is operational
- Power Relay – The relay detects when mains power has been lost, and almost instantly switches over to the backup battery source, providing seamless power.
Renewable Energy – PV System
Renewable energy is produced through the use of natural resources that have infinite supply or do not run out. There are numerous sources of natural energy, resulting in many different types of renewable energy technologies to take advantage of these sources.
ME Engineering Group has been involved in photovoltaic solar system as a form of electric generation for Domestic and commercial for the past 10 years.
Building Management System
Computer-Based control systems installed in buildings in order to monitor and control the buildings mechanical and electrical systems, such as those for Fire, Ventilation, Lighting, Access & Security are referred to as Building Management Systems (BMS). They are also sometimes referred to as Building Management and Control System (BMCS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Controls.
Some of the core benefits of these systems are:
- Reduced Maintenance costs via up to date system monitoring
- Customised and Optimised control
- Flexibility in change of system operation
- Scalabiltiy
- Reduced operator costs
- Integration between various building components
Lift electric and control system
ME Services in partnership with a German based control engineering company provide an alternative open loop control system as compared to the current closed loop system on offer in the market. Some benefits of the system include:
- Allows for fast, low cost modification of the control system
- Easy Maintenance
- Reliable and Low-maintenance Control
- Easy Error Detection
Our control system is suitable for residential and commercial buildings, but also for sensitive areas such as hospitals, aged care, police stations, and buildings with special security requirements. Our experienced employees can complete the conversion with little to no interruption to your normal daily operations.
